Sky Play

Public event and installation hosted by Taking our Time Collective, 2024. 

Taking our Time is an artist collective dedicated to manifesting rest and pleasure in our daily lives. It’s made up of artists Simeen Anjum, Lou Blumberg, Nina Vichayapai, and myself. The collective aims to make participatory sculptures, zines, and events that encourage us to slow down and look up. 

Sky Play was a public sky watching event Taking Our Time Collective hosted at Mock’s Crest Park in Portland, Oregon. This project consisted of tickets for the event with questions and musings, movie theater refreshments, and a lawn installation of lawn chairs and sky colored blankets the public was invited to lounge on while watching the day turn to night together one evening in May. Sky Play will take place in 3 Acts over three consecutive springs.
